Nandini Mouli, Ph.D.

Dr. Nandini Mouli is a Founder/Principal of eSai LLC., an energy and environmental engineering consulting company located at Reisterstown, Maryland. She is also a Business Manager at Maryland Energy Administration consulting for the commercial, industrial and institutional businesses. Prior to starting e Sai LLC., she managed energy and chemical businesses in DuPont for 22 years where she drove operational excellence and sustainability at clients with green Six Sigma methodology.

In the current role she manages funding, education and implementation of energy efficiency initiatives and her emphasis is on promoting Combined Heat and Power program in Maryland which she proposed to the Maryland Public Service Commission in 2010 and won the State’s approval to have new financial incentives through the utilities. She is an inventor of 46 patents applied and 23 awarded to-date as well as the winner of three DOE grants of about $ 10 million value. She has authored technical papers and several business plans on carbon abatement, climate change, green buildings, Distributed Energy Services and energy efficiency. She has led numerous collaborative initiatives with DOE, EPA, University of Maryland and ASHRAE.

Dr. Mouli is a featured public speaker on energy policies and programs and frequently is invited by the US Green Buildings Council, Association of Energy Engineers, Maryland Manufacturers’ Associations and Maryland Energy Leadership Groups. In leisure, she hosts a weekly TV series, “The E3 Show” that airs on a Public Television, GTV Networks, and which focuses on current topics in Energy, Environment and economy. Nandini volunteers her time for the promotion of Classical music and was awarded the title, “Kala Seva Mani, awarded by the International Music Society, Cleveland Aradhana Committee. She is a Director of several service and religious organizations, The Hindu American Community Service Inc. (HACSI), The Aim4S4eva, The United Hindu Temple Association (UHTA), The Greater Baltimore Temple and The Hindu Temple Association of Delaware (HTA) and moderates for the National Chemistry Challenge, "You Be The Chemist".

Dr. Mouli is an US Fulbright Scholar Finalist for the current year, 2013-2014, and is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. She speaks 3 languages and was born in Tamil Nadu, India and migrated to the US in 1982.
